My name is Nate, and I’ve been working on garage doors for over four years. I spent a significant portion of that time working for big names like Overhead Door Colorado Springs.
While I loved the hands-on work, I grew increasingly frustrated with the sales-first culture of the industry. I saw upper management pushing technicians to upsell families in tough financial spots—exaggerating problems and creating drama just to hit a quota.
I’ve never been the type of person to be happy at a desk, and I certainly wasn't happy watching honest people get overcharged. I knew there was a better way to serve my neighbors in Colorado Springs.
The Leap of Faith
In September 2025, I decided to listen to that voice in my head telling me I was meant for more. I took a gamble on myself, left my job, and launched MightyDoorMechanics the very next day.
I made a promise to myself: I would never prioritize a sale over a person.
